‘Game of Thrones’ season 6 spoilers: Talking ‘Book of the Stranger,’ ‘The Door’

LogoSeason 6 of “Game of Thrones” has definitely heated up, and on Sunday night you’re going to get a chance to see an episode in “Oathbreaker” that could do a rather successful job moving quite a few different stories forward.

For the sake of this article, though, we are moving beyond that and into the next two episodes airing later this month, which certainly appear on the surface to put Tyrion Lannister at the center of the action. With Dany gone he has to prove that he is capable of running a city in Meereen, and this is going to be a rather interesting proposition to behold. Take a look below at the just-released synopses courtesy of HBO.

6×04, “Book of the Stranger” (airing May 15) – “Tyrion (Peter Dinklage) strikes a deal. Jorah (Iain Glen) and Daario (Michiel Huisman) undertake a difficult task. Jaime (Nikolaj Coster-Waldau) and Cersei (Lena Headey) try to improve their situation.”

6×05, “The Door” (airing May 22) – “Tyrion seeks a strange ally. Bran (Isaac Hempstead Wright) learns a great deal. Brienne (Gwendoline Christie) goes on a mission. Arya (Maisie Williams) is given a chance to prove herself.”

In true network fashion these are not the most spoiler-ridden synopses in the world, so there’s a lot to speculate about here already. For one, is Brienne operating separately of whatever Sansa is up to? It’s interesting that she is not even mentioned here. Meanwhile, didn’t Bran just spend an entire season away from the show “learning a great deal”? We certainly think so.
