‘Once Upon a Time’ season 5, episode 21 preview: Hades has a secret weapon…

Will Hades really give up his freedom, and ultimately his chance in the real world, for Zelena? Based on the sneak peek below for Sunday night’s new episode of “Once Upon a Time,” this is something that he at least wants her to believe.

This preview seems to come later in the episode after the sneak peek we discussed yesterday, which revolved around Regina trying to warn her sister that Hades was not exactly being forthcoming with his true plans. He seems in part to be using her to take ownership of the world beyond Storybrooke, and she is buying it hook, line, and sinker.  Zelena breaks the news to him that Regina is after him, and that’s when he offers to make his sacrifice.

Yet, we’re betting that this was a calculated move by the god of the Underworld so that he could offer up another suggestion, one that involves using a powerful heirloom that was once the possession of his brother Zeus. This may be a secret weapon that he uses at the last minute, and it could end up being enough in order to ensure that our heroes are regrettably thwarted in their plans to defeat him once and for all.

In the end, we feel like the right way to describe this hour is as such: “Complicated.” There are going to be a wide array of events that happen, and it could all end up with a character losing their life. That’s something we plan on having some further speculation on when we get around to Sunday, so be sure to come back then for some further insight.
