‘The Originals’ season 3, episode 21 preview: What lies ahead on ‘Give ‘Em Hell Kid’

While sometimes shows tend to end their seasons with the culmination of everything that came in the weeks beforehand, we almost wonder with “The Originals” if they are choosing to use the end of season 3 as a means to set up more of the story for season 4. Based on the synopsis below for next week’s new episode entitled “Give ‘Em Hell Kid,” there are signs certainly suggesting that a new enemy is coming surprising late in the season:

“After receiving new visions of the looming prophecy, Freya (Riley Voelkel) uncovers that her family is on a collision course with a dangerous new enemy. Meanwhile, with the help of Detective Kinney (guest star Jason Dohring), Vincent (Yusuf Gatewood) and Kol (guest star Nathaniel Buzolic) travel to the ancestral world to put a stop to the witches and take back their city once and for all. Elsewhere, Klaus (Joseph Morgan) and Elijah (Daniel Gillies) confront Marcel (Charles Michael Davis) after a heartbreaking plan gone wrong has sent him spiraling.”

There definitely has been a lot of heartbreak on the show as of late, especially since we imagine that there are plenty of people out there who are still wrestling with the fact that Cami seems to be gone from the show for good now. (Trust us when we say we’re right there with you when it comes to feeling that pain.) Regardless of how this season ends, let’s just hope that there is a little bit of hope thrown in there somewhere. If there was a show that needed a little bit of that somewhere, we certainly think that this is it.
