Given where we are at present in the production of “Longmire” season 5, isn’t it nice to have a few more teases from the show’s New Mexico set? We certainly think so, especially since we’re still many months away from its return.
Let’s start with a simple progress report via Katee Sackhoff (Vic) on Twitter: The show is at present halfway through production on the fifth season. That means effectively that there are five more episodes to go beyond the present one, and then everything moves into post-production, editing, and everything else as the show prepares to premiere on Netflix (presumably) this fall. Production moves rather quickly on this show over the months that the cast are in the state; it’s one of those series where, rather refreshingly, the cast can do it and still have time in their schedule to do some other stuff.
As for another tease, we’ve got a specific one below from Lou Diamond Phillips as he says that he and Zahn McClarnon (Mathias) are going to be spending a lot of time together over the course of the coming season. Let’s hope that this means that Henry could be working more in collaboration with him this time around after taking more of the secretive route as Hector during season 4. (Still, that was probably one of the best seasons for Phillips on the show to date.)
Trust us: As soon as there are some more updates regarding “Longmire” and the fifth season, we’ll have them for you here.
