‘Empire’ season 2, episode 16 video: Lucious’ mother Leah Walker enters the scene

For those of you out there who were interested in seeing how Lucious Lyon reacts to seeing a ghost, you have no better example than the sneak peek below from “Empire” Wednesday night.

In this particular sneak peek, you can really see Terrence Howard’s character in a state of both paralyzed shock and fear when Andre chooses to bring Leah Walker into the room. This is obviously a part of his past that he deeply repressed, and she is clearly someone who he does not want anything to do with anymore. He’s been wrestling these demons, and in some ways even using them in order to bolster some of his own creative efforts.

What’s going to happen out of this will most likely change, shape, and really inform the rest of the season. We don’t exactly envision Lucious reacting that well to having to look her in the eye once more, and we could also easily envision him taking out some of his rage on some members of the family. Hey, it’s what he has a knack of doing.

The other big question here is what happens musically, since a good percentage of what he is working on right now has been done with a singular premise in mind. It feels fair to say that this has really shaken up the game in a significant way. We will be back to discuss this more tonight in our review article, so be sure to come back to check that out!
