While there may not be a whole lot known for certain about the second season of “Legends of Tomorrow,” we do know the following for certain: The show is probably going to look extremely different, and have a story that also diverges heavily from what we saw this time around. Ultimately, we think it will be aided by having a showrunner around to explore the full vision; for season 1, the saga of Vandal Savage was decided before many of the writers or Phil Klemmer were brought on board.
Now, we’re getting to know a thing or two about some of the new characters potentially playing a part in the second season, as according to TVLine.
1. First, we have a charming, charismatic man in his late twenties / early thirties who has some comparisons to Han Solo, and also uses his confidence to mask his true insecurities. He eventually gains superpowers, and is trying to prove himself worthy of living up to his famous World War II hero grandfather.
2. Meanwhile, we also have an African-American actress being cast to play a soldier from the 1940’s, who had to overcome both racial and gender prejudices to become the powerful force that she is. She’s also a tortured soul in that she blames herself for the loss of someone close to her.
It’s a little early to tell if there are any DC Comics connections with these characters, but we also figure that there may be a person or two leaving at the end of this season. Otherwise, won’t this cast be too beefy for its own good? It’s already hard to give everyone screen time.
