‘Blindspot’ episode 21 preview: Could an FBI lockdown bring Jane, Weller closer together?
Let’s go ahead and start off this “Blindspot” preview with the oh-so-sobering reminder that there are only three more episodes this season. Therefore, the show is going to have to unleash whatever story that it wants to tell with its characters very quickly; otherwise, they’ll all be left in some sort of dreadful holding pattern until we get around to the second season later this year.
Based on the promo below, it appears as though Mayfair in particular is going to be forced to make some tough decisions; not only that, but an FBI lockdown could bring Jane and Weller slightly closer together. Weller gives Jaimie Alexander’s character a line that she is always way more than just a case to him, which could only be the beginning of whatever is going on between the two of them. (One way that this show is already different from many others in the genre: We usually would not get this until we roll around to season 3.)
The synopsis below does a rather great job from here of explain precisely what is going to be coming up:
“The FBI is locked down when criminal hackers infiltrate the building, trapping the team inside SIOC. As they fight their way out, the close quarters force Mayfair (Marianne Jean-Baptiste), Zapata (Audrey Esparza), Reade (Rob Brown), and Sarah (guest star Jordana Spiro) to confront personal conflicts.”
Sure, we don’t exactly have that much of a clear indicator yet as to how the story is going to include for the season, but at least this promo promises some drama. We’ll be excited about that for now.
