‘The Big Bang Theory’ season 9 spoilers: More news on Howard, Raj’s role in finale
Previously, we had heard the season 9 finale of “The Big Bang Theory” was going to be a family affair with the likes of which we have not seen. After all, we are getting the long-awaited debut of Judd Hirsch in the role of Leonard’s father, and we’re getting to see more of Laurie Metcalf as his mother to go along with it.
“The Convergence Convergence” is the somewhat-odd title to this episode, and in addition to the photo above (which gives you your first clear look at Hirsch, who actually does bear some resemblance to Johnny Galecki), the synopsis below offers up some news as to what to expect:
“Chaos ensues when Leonard’s recently divorced parents, Alfred (Judd Hirsch) and Beverly (Christine Baranski), and Sheldon’s devoutly religious mother, Mary (Laurie Metcalf), come to town. Also, Wolowitz and Koothrappali think the government is out to get them when they are contacted about their guidance system.”
Raj and Howard’s system is something that has been a top story on the show as of late as the latter has tried to figure out ways to get more money, but recently we got a good sense of one of his biggest fears: That it was going to be too powerful for its own good, and have some uses that could, at least metaphorically, bring about the end of the world. On this episode, we may end up seeing some of these said sears, at least from the government’s perspective, come a little bit more into fruition.
