NBC’s ‘The Voice’ song spoilers: What Shalyah Fearing, Mary Sarah, Nick Hagelin will perform
Tonight, the top ten artists on “The Voice” have a great opportunity to try to impress America, but whether or not that actually works out for any of them remains to be seen. We’ve now seen the official list of songs through a little research on iTunes, and they range from the creative to the UGH. You’ll get a sense what we are talking about shortly.

Daniel Passino, “I Don’t Wanna Miss a Thing” by Aerosmith – Let’s get this done and over with. Awful choice. It’s overdone on singing shows, and it’s virtually a kiss of death.
Hannah Huston, “Rolling in the Deep” by Adele – If this was three years ago, we would hate the choice. Now, enough time has passed that Hannah can probably make it feel fresh and interesting.
Paxton Ingram, “It’s All Coming Back to Me” by Meatloaf – Seriously? This song is way too big and bombastic for a guy like Paxton. Very little chance this works.
Bryan Bautista, “Promise” by Romeo Santos – We really dig this choice, since it appeals to his roots and is really the first song choice from him so far that shows any originality.
Alisan Porter, “Let Him Fly” by Patty Griffin – It’s a folksy song with some gospel leanings. Basically, it should clean house on iTunes.
Shalyah Fearing, “My Kind of Love” by Emile Sande – It’s been a while since Sande covers were all over the place on singing shows. This is a powerful track, but it may not be familiar to many American viewers.
Laith Al-Saadi, “The Thrill Is Gone” by B.B. King – This is fun. You’re going to get to see Laith show off more of a bluesy side; also, his guitar-playing will probably be the star as much as anything else.
Nick Hagelin, “I Can’t Help It” by Michael Jackson – It’s not the most well-known Michael track, and really, we’re not sure how it’ll be perceived.
Adam Wakefield, “I Got a Woman” by Ray Charles – Adam’s a good enough singer that he can go far out of comfort zone, pick a song like this, and still have it work. No concern here.
Mary Sarah, “Stand By Your Man” by Tammy Wynette – This, meanwhile, is Mary staying firmly in her lane, which we don’t have much of a problem with given the present structure of things. It’ll almost surely secure her a spot in the next round.
