‘Agents of SHIELD’ season 2, episode 19 video: Hive presses Daisy

Does Daisy Johnson legitimately think that she can convince her friends over at SHIELD to embrace her new way of thinking? Judging from the sneak peek below from Tuesday night’s new episode of “Agents of SHIELD,” it appears that the answer to this particular question is “yes.”

Here, Hive presses Daisy as to whether or not she can turn on people who are effectively her creators … or if she will be willing to destroy them in the event that it turns out that they are playing her. She seems game to go along with the plan, but for how long will this last? That still remains to be seen.

By the time we make it to the end of this episode, maybe we’ll get a further sense of what is going to happen, but we don’t imagine “curing” Daisy of her present ailment is going to come easy for SHIELD. The same also goes for finding a way to stop her, given that her powers are at full height and we’ve already seen some of what she’s capable of. There’s ultimately a reason that ABC is teasing a “Fallen Agent” story; the main thing left for us to wonder at the moment is just who could end up getting caught in the crosshairs.

If nothing else, we do find this entire arc incredibly compelling; there are few things that the Marvel Cinematic Universe does better than play the lines of good and evil. That’s what makes “Captain America: Civil War” coming up so interesting.
