‘Home Fires’ season 2, episode 6 (finale) spoilers: Nick, Teresa’s wedding and more
For those of you out there who were wishing that season 2 of “Home Fires” would last a little bit longer than the first, we come bearing some sad news: It’s not. We’re once again being treated to just six episodes, and the finale is coming our way in one week’s time without too much known about the show’s future.
What we can at least tell you is that for this big finale, there will be a grand event that hopefully will make things better: A wedding for Nick and Teresa! Maybe this is an exciting affair for Nick, but does Teresa want to be with him? We’re not sure she really does, given what we’ve seen with her and Annie.
Meanwhile, we advise you to do anything you can to forget a little bit about the part of the synopsis below that hints at some further trouble courtesy of Bob, otherwise known as the most awful person ever, after he tries to figure out a way to get back at his wife:
“The village joyfully prepares for Nick and Teresa’s wedding, as the second series of the period drama set during the Second World War concludes. With Marek about to depart, Pat has a big decision to make, but Bob has one last trick up his sleeve to thwart her plans. While Frances fights to clear her name after the closure of the factory, Alison continues to wrestle with her conscience. Meanwhile, a chance encounter with Noah on the street leads Joyce to undertake some investigating of her own. Even as the allies cheer for victory in the Battle of Britain, there is one more twist of fate in store for the residents of Great Paxford.”
If nothing else, this synopsis makes it seem as though there is a good chance for a third season, and there is definitely a story out there to tell. We will just have to wait and see, we suppose, if ITV chooses to give it the green light.
