‘Teen Wolf’ season 6 star Dylan O’Brien still in recovery following ‘Maze Runner’ accident
Dylan O’Brien has certainly been a busy man as of late, alternating work between “Teen Wolf” and also the latest installment in “The Maze Runner” franchise. However, as of late he’s had a little bit of a different focus: His recovery. Earlier this year, the actor was injured while in production for his latest film, and in a statement today (via Entertainment Weekly), the studio 20th Century Fox had the following to say about some delays to make sure their actor is 100%:
“The resumption of principal photography on Maze Runner: The Death Cure has been further delayed to allow Dylan O’Brien more time to fully recover from his injuries. We wish Dylan a speedy recovery and look forward to restarting production as soon as possible.”
Meanwhile, O’Brien’s publicist Jennifer Allen also added the following: “His injuries are very serious and he needs more time to recover.”
It’s certainly sad to hear that O’Brien’s injuries may have been more severe than they were first reported, but more so than anything else, we do hope that he recovers and is in good shape moving forward this year. Obviously we hope that we get to see plenty of Stiles on the upcoming sixth season of “Teen Wolf,” but his health comes ultimately before everything else. We’ll have some further news on this and many other subjects related to the MTV show over the course of the coming weeks. Stay tuned, as it will premiere at some point later this summer. The upcoming “Maze Runner” is not scheduled to be in theaters until 2017.

I wish Dylan O’Brien the best and speedy recovery and for him to take as much time as he needs. I have seen him acting and his commitment to his work and I would ask him to return on a season 7 as one of the leads. It would be awesome if Teen Wolf were to introduce and continue amazing us with new stories to combine with that of the original actors and the kids Liam will eventually lead. See the new kids defending on their own facing bigger and stronger predators and having to run and rely on strategy. There should be new villains, killers, weapons, claws and substances capable of killing the werewolves. See more kids from different backgrounds, social circles and anti-social groups. Even a young adult couple that comes to Beacon Hills and only one manages to get out alive.
