‘The Amazing Race 28’ episode 10 preview: The pitfalls of the Double U-Turn
If there is a word that we would use to describe for the most part the competitive spirit of “The Amazing Race” this season, it’d probably be this: “Cuddly.” Nobody really has made any sort of move to screw over another team; the biggest thing we suppose we could say was competitive this season was nobody really helping the Instagram models back in Switzerland, but that’s still nothing compared to what we’ve seen on some other seasons of the show over the years.
Could that change Friday with the arrival of the Double U-Turn? It’s possible, since the thing you have to remember here is that a million dollars is a million dollars, and it doesn’t really matter if you are a social-media titan or someone with a nine-to-five job. You can use the money, and this is one of the few times in which there is to get out a big threat.
If we were approaching that U-Turn board as seen in the promo below, Brodie & Kurt would be the obvious target. They’ve won the most legs, and they’d be the team to outrun anyone in a footrace to the finish. If they are already U-Turned, it’s a little bit more of a debate. Tyler & Korey have shown tremendous upside, but at the same time Burnie & Ashley have been the Kelsey & Joey of this season so far. It would make some sense to target them now, just because we can see them being well-equipped for the final leg.
Here’s the good news for Sheri & Cole: If the U-Turn gets used, they have a good shot of making it to the final four. We don’t think anyone sees them as much of a threat at present.
