‘Longmire’ season 5 and some further casting scoop

So far, “Longmire” season 5 has kept the vast majority of its secrets close to the vest. That’s what happens when you end your most-recent season with Walt being attacked while in the middle of an intimate moment with Donna.

Yet, there have been a few teases here and there about what is coming up. For example, we know that we’re going to meet a new character in a young man who is died to Dr. Monahan in some way; meanwhile, we also know that there will be a welcome return by an old character to the show per star Katee Sackhoff.

What we have today is a new note that may give you an indication as to what one of the season’s notable investigations could be. According to TVLine, the show is casting members of an Irish crime family who could be tied to a drug-related murder. This is somewhat surprising to us given that crime families haven’t really been too big of a focus of “Longmire” over the years; also, the show is set in Wyoming, and we don’t know how many Irish crime families are setting up shop in the area.

To be honest, mob storylines are never our favorite, so we hope that there is some sort of interesting twist to this, or it lasts only a short period of time in comparison to some other plotlines. Maybe it’ll be tied to something else. If anything, “Longmire” has given us plenty of reasons to trust them through four seasons, crafting some of the most-underrated stories out there and painting a unique part of the country in an interesting light.
