‘Bones’ season 12: Producers hoping to bring Zack back
Given that we are in such an age of nostalgia at the moment across the TV board, we really cannot act even remotely surprised that we are hearing ideas that “Bones” may be bringing back a beloved character for the twelfth and final season. We’re speaking of course about Zack (Eric Millegan), who has a significant part of the first three seasons and really the precursor to so many of the squinterns that we’ve seen over the years.
For the time being, there is not 100% confirmation that we are going to see the character; however, executive producer Michael Peterson tells TVLine that it is definitely something he is going to try to have happen:
“It seems like the right thing to do … I will say this: I know what the fans want, and as much of a roller coaster ride as we may put them through, we want to deliver.
“I watched the show before I was ever writing on the show, and I think what Eric brought to that character was fantastic,” he adds. “I’ll make a promise to try really hard to make it happen.”
We won’t be disappointed if this efforts prove futile, mostly because we know that the powers-that-be are working hard to try to make this particular fan wish come true. More than anything, we’re just grateful that Fox is giving the show a final season. Think about some of the other long-running shows out there like “CSI: Miami” that didn’t really get much of an ending at all. Fox has been really devoted to this show, and though the final season we expected many tributes to seasons past. We’ll just have to see who is ultimately able to return.
