‘Scorpion’ season 3 wishlist: What we want for Walter, Paige, Toby, Happy, and more
“Scorpion” season 2 is over. With that, isn’t this the right time to start speculating about what the future should hold? Season 3 will most-likely not be on the air until the fall, but we want to go ahead and do our part to speculate over some of the events we could see unfold.
Of course, there are inevitable spoilers ahead in this wishlist piece.
1. Walter and Paige actually give a relationship a try – It’s been over a season since the two made their feelings for each other clear. Therefore, it’s time. The longer that the show lasts, the harder and harder that it’s going to get to actually make the distance between them believable. When you know that the chemistry is there, why not just go for it? Granted, we want to see the story with Tim resolved first, since we don’t want to see either one of them deliberately hurt him since he seems like a nice guy. Plus, we like Scott Porter.
2. We meet Happy’s “husband” – This revelation came out after Toby proposed to her with his cute ragtime song. Now, we want to know exactly what happened to cause her to get married, and never actually annul the marriage / get a divorce. May we make a casting suggestion here of Zachary Levi? He’s worked with Katharine McPhee before, and Robert Patrick was a previous guest star on “Chuck.” In terms of tone, we like to think of “Scorpion” as a spiritual successor.
3. We learn more about Cabe – Can we see a full episode from his perspective, and learn more about what his life is like away from the team? It feels like he’s the one character whose point of view gets left out in the dust.
4. The show doesn’t forget Megan – The further and further that the series goes on in its run, and the more we feel like this character will probably drift into the background. We just hope that Walter and Sylvester in particular continue to hold her memory close, and use her as a driving force to remain wonderful people.

I like Scott Porter, he’s an amazing musical performer, but I actually feel physical pain anytime he’s in a scene because his (almost perfect) interaction with Scorpion feels false and manufactured. (He’s faster than a speeding bullet, more powerful than a locomotive, blah, blah, blah.) But mostly, it’s because HE’s NOT WALTER! (I felt the same way about Linda) His job is to put a wedge between Waige…especially now that Walter realizes he loves Paige. One can only hope that he discovers for himself (like yesterday) that Paige can never truly be his, and walks away. So, no more of this “bubbling under the surface” for the next 5 years, Scorpion writers. C’mon, we’re grownups, and we can handle them getting together sooner than later.

You’re right on point! That idea that viewers will lose interest in the show if Walter and Paige get together is just absurd. There’s no point in dragging this longer. I’m actually forward to see them in a relationship, the upsides and downsides of a real relationship. And I also want to see more of Ralph, Quintis,Sly and Cabe. I think the show has a great future ahead,I look forward to the next season.
