ABC’s ‘Scandal’ season 5 spoilers: First look at finale ‘That’s My Girl’
The season finale of “Scandal” is going to be airing on ABC come Thursday, May 12, and “That’s My Girl” is looking like it’s going to be one of the most interesting installments that we’ve seen to date. The Presidential race is going to heat up in some pretty dynamic ways, and we’re excited to see all of this unfold.
With that, take a look at the synopsis below, which provides some confirmation that we will at least be significantly into the race by the time this episode airs:
“As each presidential candidate gets ready to announce their running mate, Olivia finds herself in a potentially dire situation. Meanwhile, Cyrus is presented with damaging information that could alter the presidential race entirely.”
Ultimately, let’s just hope that this installment proves to be as exciting as it sounds on paper, and we’re personally glad that the show isn’t rushing to end the race altogether. There’s a lot of material left here for the producers and writers to mine, and who knows? It could end up concluding in some ways we don’t see coming. Ultimately, we expect that the race will probably end around the time it actually does in real life in November. After all, what better way is there for there to be some synergy? You’re also taking advantage rather wonderfully of some of the headlines that are out there.
One last thing: We’re glad that Cyrus has somehow found himself at the center of everything. We always think that this show is better when he’s directly involved.
