ABC’s ‘Castle’ season 8, episode 20 preview: Jewel Staite joins Nathan Fillion in ‘Much Ado About Murder’
Tonight, “Castle” aired a story in “Dead Again” that was, at least in a vacuum, a heck of a lot of fun. We’re still disappointed about the news of Stana Katic’s exit, and of course it does impact our enjoyment of the show.
Yet, we press on, as there are a few more episodes still to air this season. That includes next week’s “Much Ado About Murder,” a story that most notably is going to feature another “Firefly” reunion. Jewel Staite is going to get star as a woman working to run a theater production, only to realize that one of her own stars has been killed. Based on the synopsis below, it feels like a pretty classic installment for the show:
“After a movie star turned theater actor is mysteriously killed, Castle and Beckett go backstage and learn the star had more to worry about than just his lines.”
Will we get some more insight into LokSat into this episode, as well? That remains an interesting question, given that tonight’s episode concluded with Castle and Beckett getting from Caleb Brown some specific instructions when it comes to how to trace the next call from the mysterious assailant. It’s possible that more breadcrumbs could be dropped next week; or, maybe we’re left to wait for a little while since the finale probably will tackle this mystery head-on. (It’s just sad that this will also be the last episode featuring Katic, pending some sort of last-second change to what we’ve already heard.)

Does anybody really care anymore? Once Stana was no longer part of Castle in any sig nificant way, the show was finished. Starting in Season seven and all of eight she has been marginalized. Of her own desire? Despite the rumors Fillion and Katic are pros who cares ifthe hate each other off screen or beeter yet are the sissy showrunners afraid of strong beautiful women?? The bottom line Castle was done after the honeymoon ep[isode never to rise again.

Although I will miss Stana and the real Castle show next season , I do not plan on watching If they renew it for a season 9 . One thing I will not miss is the constant referral to his former show Firefly . It’s getting to be old and sickening . #No Stana No Castle.

It’ll be 13 episodes, maybe to see if it flys. I will watch it out of curiosity, who knows if they go back to the original RC.
