‘Ink Master’ season 7, episode 9 video: A different sort of Elimination Challenge

For the first time this season on “Ink Master,” Tuesday night’s new episode is going to feature a full roster of artists without any new additions. If you hated someone entering the competition every week, then you don’t have to worry about it anymore!

The sneak peek below also hints at something else that is very different about this week: There is no Flash Challenge. Therefore, for the first time the remaining artists are going to jump ride into the Elimination Challenge, and it’s a doozy: Doing wings on the back of their human canvases. The artists are working in teams of two (the first time that this has happened this season in an Elimination Tattoo), with one of them doing a “good wing” while the other works on a “bad wing.”

When it comes to the concept of the challenge itself, we actually think that this is super-cool. There’s a lot of creativity that can come out of wings, and there will probably be some drama that happens with artists working together with their lives on the line.

Now, we just have to wait and see what some of the pairings are going to be. We’re sure that every person in the competition is probably going to want to see Sausage and Matti together, but otherwise, we’re not sure any other one would be that exciting just on paper. There aren’t too many person-to-person rivalries left (we guess you can say Christian vs. Cleen, but it’s a stretch), and there aren’t any weak artists. Therefore, nobody’s going to get screwed on a talent level.
