‘Once Upon a Time’ season 5, episode 20 preview: Is Hook in more danger during ‘Firebird’?
Earlier on in the second half of “Once Upon a Time” season 5, the term “Firebird” was first coined to describe the journey that we were seeing some of our heroes on in the Underworld. It’s another operation, as it were, something that has always been a tad corny but also part of the show’s fun and oddball charm.
Are we starting to see this operation come to a close? It’s hard to say for certain, but the fact that the next all-new episode of the show is entitled “Firebird” does definitely make us ask some of those questions to ourselves out loud. We also are nearing the end of the season, so the stakes are going to be raised.
The promo for this next new episode below certainly makes a little bit of a meal out of the sense of drama and stakes that are coming in the Underworld. Specifically, this does a great job of making you wonder whether or not Hook and Emma are going to emerge from the rubble okay and in one piece. Specifically, they’re heading to the most dangerous part of Hell in order to figure out if there is a way to get back to Storybrooke, and there could be a major sacrifice that forces one of them to be left behind.
Now that we’ve said this, let’s hope Hook is okay! We’ve already seen the guy trapped in a world away from all of the characters once before, after all.
