MTV’s ‘Awkward’ season 5, episode 19 video: Will Jenna choose between her job and Matty?

What’s more important for Jenna on “Awkward” at this point: Is it her friendship with Matty, or is it working at a place that she is getting some exposure for her work for the first time in her career? That is something that could be figured out not just in Tuesday night’s new episode, but also the remainder of the season.

Let’s start more with Tuesday’s installment, which will put her in a tough position. Her article is still up at Idea Bin, even though Matty really feels like it is a hit piece entirely based on their relationship. He wants it removed, but it’s difficult when she learns that it has been viewed more than 300,000 times in a relatively short span of time. This could be a launching bad for her career!

The synopsis below via TV Guide makes it clear that by the end of this episode, Jenna may have figured out what she wants to do moving into the future:

“Jenna chooses between the Idea Bin and Matty; Jake has an unexpected hookup; and Sadie and Sergio bare more than ever before.”

If you’re wondering, it has already been revealed that this “hookup” is none other than Ophelia, Jenna’s co-worker at Idea Bin who has a thing for doing crazy things and then writing about them. We’re not sure how Jake is really that crazy of an experiment for her given other things that we’ve heard from her; we just hope that he doesn’t get his heart smashed, given that things have not really been coming up roses for him lately.
