ABC’s ‘Castle’ season 8, episode 19 video: A Stana Katic – Nathan Fillion ‘Dead Again’ clip
We promised earlier this weekend that we’d have another sneak peek of Monday night’s new episode of “Castle” before we get around to it airing, and with that, we’ve got a new “Dead Again” clip below.
This preview probably happens in the episode before the one we shared on Saturday revolving around Castle, Ryan, and Esposito, at least in the way that Castle seems to be shocked to meet Alan (Jonathan Silverman) for the first time alongside Beckett. This is a man who has survived a deadly poisoning, and with that of course Rick has many a crazy theory regarding how in the world this could be possible, and he’s psyched to get into almost every single one of them with the guy.
Do we think that there is probably a deeper explanation for this phenomenon? Certainly, but we’ll probably have that near the end of the episode. Right now, the focus is more on the silliness of it all.
As we’ve said before this week, it’s a little bit harder to watch everything with this in a vacuum given what we do know now about the departure of Stana Katic at the end of the season. Yet, at the same time we don’t want anything off-screen to impact how we feel about the Castle or Beckett characters … and the same goes for anyone on the show. These are fictional people immune to some of those headlines, so while we continue to cover the show, we’re going to do our part to try and compartmentalize as best we can and separate the two different things.

To me the dark and brooding cloud of doom from The possible death of Kate will make it too unbearable to watch the remainder of Castle. Also, even though there will be a considerable time leap at the beginning of Season 9 (if there is one) and I assume it will be to eliminate the grieving of Kate I still will not watch season 9 because the dark cloud simply will not go away.

Not watching – knowing Stana is leaving there is ZERO reason to watch

I have always thought that the series should have been named BECKETT and that is an unbiased statement. It is merely in recognition of the relative importance of the various characters to the series. With regard to the stars and not the roles they played it should be recognized that both have received People’s Choice Awards and thoug these are not awards conferred by their peers or critics but,in my opinion, these are the most important awards of all because if you do not recognize and satisfy the fans why have any series or program?
