‘Fear the Walking Dead’ season 2, episode 3 video: Who is Strand speaking with?

So far through “Fear the Walking Dead” season 2, the questions regarding Strand have not quieted down. This is a man with a ton of money and resources, and yet someone who still likes to keep his motives under wraps. We don’t fully understand why he wanted to take on board this particular ragtag crew, or what could really be awaiting him in Mexico.

Not only that, but it’s far from clear in the sneak peek below who he is speaking to. He’s obviously charting a course, and there’s a reason for him doing so. It’s just hard to figure out at present what it is about this group that makes this particularly special as opposed to anyone else who could have been out there.

As far as how much leeway we are willing to give the show when it comes to resolving this mystery, we’re at least going to be kind enough to give them some slack. This is a show that has only aired eight episodes so far, and if this were a network show, they’d probably wait around 18 or 20 before cluing you in to who this guy really is. We feel like once we get around to say the midseason finale, the show has to lift the veil at that point. Otherwise, we’re going to start to feel really frustrated.
