‘Britain’s Got Talent’ preview: Will the Presentation School Choir from Ireland impress?

Britain's Got Talent

We’ll be honest here in this “Britain’s Got Talent” preview by just coming out and saying it: We’ve got a little bit tired of choirs on singing shows. There’s only so many times that we can hear the same sort of thing, and once you hear one “stunning” performance (we’re imitating the judges here), you have in many ways seen them all.

It is with that in mind that we are especially grateful for what the Presentation School Choir does in the video below. The group from Ireland of course does a really powerful vocal performance, but at the same time they also have a unique choreography and style about how they perform. It’s a little like a glee club, but not without all of the running about. They do most of it while standing in one place.

Oh, and apparently Simon Cowell really likes the choir director’s glasses.

While we’re not sure that this group will get the golden buzzer from either of the remaining judges (David Walliams likes silly acts, and Simon often goes for the easily-marketable), maybe Ant and Dec could run out for theirs? We’ve seen both Alesha Dixon and Amanda Holden use theirs, so we’re just waiting to see precisely what’s going to happen next.

Luckily, we are not going to have to wait for an extremely long period of time, given that this next new episode of the show is a mere matter of hours away from airing on ITV.
