‘Hell on Wheels’ season 5: First seven episodes heading to Netflix in May
While we still do not have a premiere date, a trailer, or anything else just yet for the final episodes of AMC’s “Hell on Wheels,” we did get some other good news that we figured we would pass along right now: When you can check out the first half of season 5 on Netflix.
The streaming service announced today some of their May launch dates for original and acquired series, and for this particular series, it will be available on Saturday, May 28. Pretty amazing timing, if you ask us. This date is after the conclusion of May sweeps, so you don’t have to worry about there being too much of a logjam on your DVR unless you’re super-far behind in watching some finales. Meanwhile, it’s also right in the middle of Memorial Day Weekend, a really quiet time when it comes to programming. We often find ourselves that there’s not too much to write about or discuss until June rolls around.
This also gives viewers a little bit of time to catch up on the complete series in the event that they are a little bit behind on the episodes at present. Given that the first half of season 5 premiered in the middle of July, it’s easy to assume that the network will do the same thing here this summer. Since there’s not too much other original programming airing on Saturdays, they don’t have to worry about it bumping up against other things.
If you haven’t watched it, the show’s incredibly well-acted and constructed, and there really is nothing else on TV now quite like it. While it may be ending soon, we’d love to see it ride off into the sunset with the strongest ratings possible.
