‘The Blacklist’ season 3, episode 20 preview: ‘The Atrax Network’ and another ghost story
Through much of Thursday night’s new episode of “The Blacklist,” we really occupied our time by sitting around and wondering precisely what we were watching when it comes to Reddington’s story. Was his companion someone physical there, or a manifestation in his brain? Either way, this was Red at his most detached, struggling with grief and trying to figure out what in the world to do in the wake of Liz Keen’s apparent death. It was powerful, and certainly also one of the best performances we have seen on the show to date from James Spader.
Maybe next week, the show will get back more to normal with “The Atrax Network,” and you will see more of how the FBI task force is coping following Liz’s death. The synopsis below offers up some other information regarding what to expect:
“After an unexpected loss devastates the FBI task force, they must track down their assailants; a mysterious group whose agents operate using a worldwide satellite network. Meanwhile, Reddington (James Spader) is forced to confront a ghost from his past — one who knows many of Red’s secrets.”
The promo below gives you a greater sense of precisely what we can expect to see, and also how it is none other than the task force themselves who come to Red seeking help. Therefore, the show is still finding a way to loop as much of the cast together as they can, at least while we wait to see if Megan Boone returns to the show down the road.
