‘Grey’s Anatomy’ season 12, episode 20 reaction: Callie, Arizona’s relationship shatters

Grey's Anatomy

For weeks now, we’ve hoped that Callie and Arizona would eventually resolve some of their differences, and come closer to a situation where the two actually started to get close to each other once more.

Unfortunately, we are now sad to report that we are heading in completely the opposite direction. At the end of this “Grey’s Anatomy” episode, Arizona made it clear that she had hired an attorney after realizing that her ex really did not have the best interest of the entire family at heart when it comes to her daughter Sofia. She wanted to take a new job in New York after Penny was set to make the move, and she wanted her daughter to come along with her. Not only that, but she had already applied for her to become a part of an impressive school.

So Arizona’s move marks the second time this month that a character has gotten an attorney involved in something, though ironically, it seems that Jackson and April are getting closer to working out their differences. The two are starting to get along! That’s something that we definitely did not expect a little while ago.

As for other highlights from this episode, an emotional shooting caused some characters to think hard about their future, and to go along with that, Owen finally came clean about why he feels responsible for his sister’s apparent death. Riggs had cheated on her, and he told her to come back. He encouraged her to get on the helicopter, but as Amelia instructed him, he shouldn’t blame himself anymore.
