‘Shark Tank’ preview: Drip Drop ice cream cone, InchBug, Jarrett & Raja, KidRunner, GameDay Couture

Sharks -There’s yet another “Shark Tank” episode coming your way on Friday, and we’re here yet again with a preview! This time around, it feels like we’re looking at a particularly-odd hour given that there are two businesses for the infant / toddler market, an ice-cream cone invented by teenagers (it’s patented, so take it seriously), and a magic show that you may have seen before in other forms.

Before anything else, let’s get around to sharing the official synopsis for this episode below:

“Two high school freshmen from Denver, Colorado, pitch a tasty way to improve the ice cream cone; an entrepreneur from Bend, Oregon, presents a reinvented kid stroller with an athletic twist; a woman from Austin, Texas, hopes to make the lives of parents easier with her line of child products; and a magician duo from Las Vegas, Nevada, performs a music-magic entertainment spectacle, but will the Sharks see through the illusion? Also, an update on Kurt and Shawnna Feddersen from Sapulpa, Oklahoma and Gameday Couture, their fashionable women’s gameday apparel, which Mark Cuban invested in during season six.”

Drip Drop – This is a major innovation to the ice-cream cone that has been popular for quite some time now. The twist? With the Drip Drop, you’re fundamentally looking at something here that keeps ice cream from dripping on you while you eat it. This was created by some teenagers in Colorado, and we gotta say it’s pretty brilliant. Maybe it throws off the whole cone / ice cream ratio, but as an extremely messy ice-cream eater we love the concept of this.

InchBug – It’s a cute name, and their specialized labels and baby products are fun and clever. Is there a lot going on their website? Definitely, and that’s what we are a little concerned about. We’re not sure precisely what their core product is, and there have been many products on the show in this market already.

Jarrett & Raja – This one is a little bit odd to us, given that we’ve seen these guys on “America’s Got Talent,” but investing in a magic / music show is something that the Sharks really have not done before. Maybe it’s similar somewhat to the haunted hayride business in that it’s an experience product, but here it sees very dependent on just two guys. They’re very talented, but we worry about this venue.

KidRunner – We feel like the entrepreneurs’ hearts are in the right place here, but there are a couple of glaring problems with this right out of the gate. For one, we don’t know if we’d be comfortable with a stroller-of-sorts where you can’t actually see the kid while you’re in it. Also, what happens if you trip or topple over? Then again, we’re not really the target audience, and maybe this is better than other things out there for parents who want to stay fit while watching their children.
