‘The Big Bang Theory’ season 9, episode 21 video: Howard trolls Stuart and more

Thursday night’s new episode of “The Big Bang Theory” is almost upon us, and if there is one thing that we can say about it based on the preview below, it is that this is going to be extraordinarily silly.

One of the main storylines this time around is going to be a viewing party, and a fight between Sheldon and Leonard that will lead to all parties having to take sides. In true show fashion things will probably be blown out of proportion … but before we come around to that, there are some other lighthearted and silly moments. Take, for example, Stuart doing a little bit of Jon Snow cosplay. Why in the world is he dressed like that? You can really attribute it to Howard trolling him and telling him it was a costume party. (We gotta admit that we first saw the photo above a week ago, and we still didn’t have an idea that this was a Jon Snow costume until we watched the promo. There’s something fun to be said about the show giving him a costume that is intentionally not that great.)

Also, there’s some drama around an enormous sandwich that is at the party, which in turn is something that Sheldon does not approve of. What a surprise: This is not a guy who enjoys community food.

Do we wish that the promo gave a little bit more away when it comes to the story of the episode? Sure, but if you’ve been paying attention for some time, you probably know already that this is not a show that tends to do that.
