‘The Blacklist’ season 3 spoilers: The big James Spader story in ‘Alexander Kirk’

The Blacklist logo any seasonblacklistThe name “Alexander Kirk” has been mentioned a few times now when it comes to “The Blacklist” and various reports that are out there in the press. Kirk has been presented as one of the biggest threats out there to Raymond Reddington, a man with a lengthy history with him, and someone who knows where some of the metaphorical (and possibly physical) bodies are buried.

“Alexander Kirk” also happens to be the title of the penultimate episode of the season airing on May 12, and we’ve got a few more details below that prove that this will be a huge episode for James Spader:

“The FBI task force’s hunt for revenge nears its endgame. As Reddington (James Spader) and the team close in on the mysterious arch-criminal responsible for recent tragic events, they’re forced to operate outside their comfort zone — and outside the law — in order to take down their enemy once and for all.”

Once again, we feel the need to caution that the lack of a Liz Keen mention here does not really mean much of anything. We’re still very much convinced that Megan Boone could be a part of the series moving forward in some way, but we have to figure out precisely how that would be possible. We just hope that if this was some big “Liz faked her death to keep her child safe” plot, there is some sort of logical explanation for it that we see play out either at the end of this season or season 4, once Boone has completed her maternity leave.
