‘Quantico’ episode 18 reaction: Show boss on big Caleb reveal

What’s going on with Caleb on “Quantico” at the moment? We certainly had a big reveal tonight that he is out there in the future, but not necessarily in the way in which anyone would have expected. Instead, it just so turns out that he is now a drug addict, and someone his mother Claire is hiding to ensure that her own campaign stays afloat.

However, it also turns out that Caleb is still up to no good, and is working in secret still in order to ensure that something happens behind Alex’s back. Is he working with the terrorist? While we cannot say that for certain just yet, it certainly appears that way. Here is what executive producer Josh Safran had to say to Entertainment Weekly about the reveal, while insisting that the character is in fact a drug addict and that was not just an act to lure Alex into a sense of false security:

“He’s clearly speaking to someone on the phone at the end of the episode. And by the way, who that person he’s speaking to, you’ll find out in the first 10 minutes of the next episode. It’s not something that we drag out. But he did turn to drugs. He watched his father die. All of that is real.”

We’d be especially curious if this person on the other line is Shelby, mostly because he claimed that the two were not talking. Also, we’d also love it if we end up hearing a thing or two more about just why this terrorist is just doing what they are already. We’re pretty deep into the show at this point, and it feels like now would be a great time to start to get a few more answers … right?
