‘Call the Midwife’ season 5, episode 3 preview (PBS): Scoop on Patsy, typhoid story, and more

Call -

This weekend PBS is bringing you another all-new episode of “Call the Midwife,” and just as you would expect if you’re an avid viewer of the series, there are going to be quite a few different developments that will make you teary-eyed and emotional as the hour goes on. We’ve got one of the sadder stories-of-the-week that we’ve seen, while at the same time, a disease is going to also cause trouble at Nonnatus House and beyond.

Yet, is it possible that someone in the core cast will experience some happiness? It is … but there may be complications. As per usual, we’ve got for you believe five separate teases as to what to expect.

1. A typhoid outbreak is going to run rampant across Poplar, and it will cause the entire medical community to be on edge.

2. For one character in particular, their own personal history with the disease is going to make being around it all the more difficult, especially if they feel like they don’t have many places to turn when it comes to comfort.

3. A story about an unmarried teacher’s pregnancy is going to remind us how in the early 1960’s, an even like this can send devastating shockwaves through someone’s life, and make it almost impossible to live the life that they once did.

4. A budding romance is going to break out between two characters, and the results of it could lead to complicated feelings for another member of the core cast.

5. There will be a cliffhanger ending to one of these stories mentioned above, and that will carry through some other weeks still to come.
