‘Blue Bloods’ season 6 spoilers: David Ramsey returns for finale
Somehow, “Blue Bloods” continues to work a little bit of schedule magic when it comes to David Ramsey. Despite the actor appearing on “Arrow” as a regular and doing a guest spot on “The Flash,” he has still found a way to make a few appearances on “Blue Bloods” this season as Mayor Poole. This is going to continue up to the show’s season 6 finale on May 6, which carries with it the title of “Blowback.”
As the synopsis below indicates, there is definitely a storyline in this episode that is politically and culturally relevant:
“Frank (Tom Selleck), the Mayor (David Ramsey), Erin (Bridget Moynahan) and the DA’s office contend with public outrage after a grand jury doesn’t indict an NYPD officer for the controversial shooting of a teenager that was caught on video.”
Is this a case that has been explored on the show before? We actually do ponder that, mostly because there have been a few storylines on this show the past couple of years on similar subjects, as the show has taken on the subject of anti-police sentiment in a way that few others out there have. It remains a difficult subject just because of the divisiveness of opinions out there, but at the same exact time the show has done a very good job being even-handed in their approach. They’ve shown some sympathy for the plight of the victims, while also portraying the difficulties that come with being a police officer that is under a great microscope potentially than ever before.
