‘Grey’s Anatomy’ season 12, episode 20 preview: A key Callie – Arizona story in ‘Trigger Happy’

Grey's AnatomyFollowing tonight’s very emotional two-hour event of “Grey’s Anatomy,” we’re going to have yet another one airing next week that addresses a topic that many people out there certainly have spent some time talking about over the years: Gun violence. This is a subject matter that has generated quite a few headlines over time, and we’re going to see that enter the walls of the Grey Sloan Memorial in this episode as a young child comes in after another kid (possibly his brother) accidentally shoots him.

The synopsis below for “Trigger Happy” also teases another storyline involving children as Callie and Arizona’s daughter Sophia is going to be at the center of a new conflict:

“The doctors work frantically to save a young boy who was accidentally shot. Meanwhile, Arizona is upset when Callie tries to make an important decision about Sophia’s future without consulting her.”

Will this story bring many important issues to the forefront? More than likely, but we also hope at the same time that there is a way for some of these people to find peace through all of the different battles and discussions that they have. This also includes April and Jackson, who we clearly know are both going through some things still but seem to at least be moving in a slightly better direction after what we saw on the two hours tonight with her letting him be involved to a certain extent in the pregnancy. This is certainly more than anything we had seen from her before now, so we will take it.
