ABC’s ‘Castle’ season 8 spoilers: First details on Stana Katic – Nathan Fillion story in ‘Dead Again’
For those of you out there who are like us and enjoy “Castle” episodes when they are particularly weird and/or wacky, then we have some good news: We’re going to have both of those things and then some on the upcoming April 25 episode entitled “Dead Again.” In one way, this is a murder case, but there is a big twist: The victim is somehow actually still alive. Is he a superhero? Is he impervious to poison? These are both questions that we can imagine Rick asking at one point in the case given his curiosity for such unusual things.
Just in case you’ve got a hunger for getting some specifics, we’d advise you to check out the official synopsis below:
“When a mild mannered safety inspector for the city (guest star Jonathan Silverman) miraculously survives a poisoning, it might be luck; but when he survives another, it’s a mystery Castle and Beckett will have to solve.”
In general, we get the sense right now that the writers are largely intent on just giving longterm fans of the show precisely what they want, given the quality of the recent run of episodes plus the movement away from some of the Castle / Beckett drama that dominated the first half of the season. This show is better when Nathan Fillion and Stana Katic are having fun together, and then in turn everyone else gets to have fun around them. This particular installment sounds like it is working to get everyone in a situation to solve a mystery while having a little bit of fun in the process.

My interest in Castle has been fading due in season 8 and with this weeks news I’m on the brink of ceasing to view it. I won’t watch a s9 if Stan is not in it as Beckett.

I would watch 1 or 2 episodes to gauge the “feel” of the new show & unless it can impress me as much as the original Castle, ( it would have be amazing to do that without Stana), then no, I would not watch it regularly.
