‘Faking It’ season 3, episode 5 video: Amy and Lauren try to stage their own ‘Parent Trap’

At the end of this past episode of “Faking It,” Amy put everything aside with Karma to ensure that she was there for her after her father suffered what seemed to be a heart attack. Given Amy’s demeanor in the sneak peek below, we’re going to assume that he is on the mend.

The issue at hand here for Lauren (who does have a knack for being insensitive) is that Amy is, once again, seemingly running back towards someone who has established a pattern for hurting her in the past. She insists that she’s not running into this blind this time, and claims instead that she just realizes that she and Karma need each other. We’ll see how long this lasts before things get messy, since we know that somewhere within her, Amy isn’t fully over her and may never be. She’ll just have to learn to reconcile that and her friendship.

The bigger point of this preview seems to be introducing what is the primary Amy / Lauren plot of the week, and that is the latter’s attempts to get her father back together with Amy’s mom. Things were a little simpler then, and we’re sure that Lauren would like to have her entire family in the same city once more.

Granted, this is probably going to be much easier said than done … but it should give us some funny hijinks and plenty to talk about over the course of the next few days. With that in mind, stay tuned for a full review of everything that happens right here at CarterMatt.
