MTV’s ‘Awkward’ season 5, episode 17 video: Sergio asks Sadie for help

Have the tables turned on Tuesday night’s new episode of “Awkward“? We’d say yes to a certain extent, mostly because Sergio is now in a position where he has to directly spend time around Sadie, as opposed to spending his time avoiding her in the wake of everything that has happened between the two of them. The sneak peek below is proof that.

What’s changed? Well, it’s a combination of two different things:

1. He now realizes that she is harboring some feelings for him still, as evidenced by just how far she went and how desperately she acted in order to make him jealous on this past installment of the show.

2. He is also in need of some help. Tuesday’s episode is set on the 4th of July, a time when a lot of people prefer to party and barbecue rather than work. Therefore, he’s a little bit short-staffed and makes this abundantly clear to her in the preview.

Eventually, Sadie does relent and prepares to lend him a hand, which should make for some entertainment given how she has become in some ways even more vapid since her move to New York. Yet, we know that she’s got that softer side, and she has to know at this point that if she has any hope of keeping Sergio around, she cannot be awful to him in the way that she has been at times in the past.
