ABC’s ‘Castle’ season 8, episode 17 video: Castle, Beckett, and genie talk

The more we see regarding Monday night’s new episode of “Castle” entitled “Death Wish,” the more and more optimistic we are that this really is an episode that will continue the momentum established by “Heartbreaker” last week. While that case was a little ho-hum, Castle and Beckett were back to normal in terms of their relationship! The sneak peek below certainly suggests that this will not be changing in any sort of substantial way.

In this preview, Castle continues what seems to be his latest crazy conspiracy theory when it comes to the case-of-the-week: A murder mystery that may involve Aladdin’s lamp and a genie. Specifically, he thinks that a blonde woman involved in the case may be the genie, and that she wants Rick to be her master. Let’s just say that the idea of a mystery blonde and Rick as “master” is not something that really appeals to Beckett … at all. It makes for a fun scene between the two characters.

For those of you who are eager to get some more answers regarding the LokSat mystery, trust us when we say that answers are coming. While we cannot confirm 100% that it will be this season, we’re certainly leaning in that direction given that there is no season 9 renewal in place just yet. The show has to prepare as if this is the last season of the show, and then wait and see what happens on the ABC side of things. As we’ve said a few times now, the poor performance of ABC elsewhere may be boosting “Castle’s” renewal odds.
