‘Scorpion’ season 2, episode 22 video: Walter wrestles over his feelings
While Walter O’Brien may be a super-genius, there is one thing that he still cannot figure out: His feelings for Paige. He ignores them, or simply comes up with numerous excuses as to why he feels the way that he does, so he doesn’t have to face them directly.
The sneak peek below for Monday night’s new episode of “Scorpion” entitled “Hard Knox” provides some further insight, as Elyes Gabel’s character gets into a conversation with Toby describing the state of things with with the woman he’s just started dating (Linda), and how he wants to make something work with her. However, many of his interactions with her so far have been far from romantic, and Toby suggests that he’s been more on “field trips” with her than dates; to go along with that, he suggests that a certain percentage of her feelings may be more or less due to the rush that she had in the aftermath of their high-octane experience earlier this season. Neither party may be thinking all too clearly about the other with this shared experience in mind.
Then, there’s the whole issue of Paige. Toby suggests to Walter that seeing Paige and Tim in the early stages of a relationship may be causing him to become even more transfixed on romance … and then Paige shows up, the conversation ends, and he has a “I’ve just seen a ghost” look in his eyes as Sylvester asks him what is wrong.
This sneak peek is, by and large, yet another example of how Walter really should just get his you-know-what together and work on a relationship with Paige. Sure, it might be a little bit complicated at the moment, but is he going to get another chance? The longer he waits into the Paige – Tim relationship, the worse off it could be for him, her, and the team.
