‘American Idol 15’ review: Trent Harmon, La’Porsha Renae, Dalton Rapattoni perform one last time

American Idol -We’ve spent so much time over the past couple of weeks hyping up some of the performances and special guests who are coming aboard “American Idol” for the series finale tomorrow, we have almost forgotten here and there that there are still three contestants left vying for a chance to be the winner. These people have worked really hard to go to this spot, and are hoping that they are going to have an opportunity to get the votes necessary to get that coronation moment Thursday.

We will have some other news on the show as the night goes on; specifically, we’re going to do our part to crown a winner after each phase.

Round One – This was a really solid night for all three, and we think that the winner here is probably subjective. We’d go personally with Trent Harmon because it felt like channeled some of the emotion of the song better than anyone; however, La’Porsha Renae really nailed much of the emotion of the song.

Round Two – This was the Simon Fuller song choice round, and we’re pretty darn proud of both singers and their evolution. Just for nailing “A House is Not a Home” alone, we’re leaning towards La’Porsha here.

Round Three – This is where it got tricky: “Chandelier” versus “Diamonds.” Both were wonderful, and we could legitimately see either one of them winning. We really don’t think either one of them would be a worthy winner, since they have earned their spots over the past couple of weeks.
