‘NCIS’ season 13 spoilers: Duane Henry to be potential season 14 regular
We knew already that Sarah Clarke was poised to be one of the latest new additions to “NCIS” as Tess Monroe, but beyond that there was still another vacancy out there. The show announced a while back that they are looking to fill the void left by Michael Weatherly’s exit by casting two new parts, with options for them to become regulars for the upcoming 14th season.
Now, that final void has been filled. According to TVLine, “Law & Order: UK” alum Duane Henry is going to be playing the part of Clayton Reeves, an MI-6 agent with more of a blue-collar background who has come from humble beginnings, and overcome many mistakes that he has made in the past to become a very competent, strong, and capable force. We assume that Henry is keeping his British accent for the show, which will give it a really different sort of feel that it has at the moment and with such a big cast change it might be just what is needed to help move the show in it’s new direction.
In a statement confirming this casting, showrunner Gary Glasberg had the following to say:
“We think we found something really special in Duane Henry … His unique blend of charm, heart and athletic physicality is going to be a great addition to the mix. Everyone at NCIS is excited to have him join us.”
The show is currently airing new episodes; meanwhile, Henry will likely debut in the penultimate episode of the season.

Takes two people to replace Tony. OK. Whatever.

While I totally understand that NCIS is going on after Michael Weatherly leaves, I’m kind of sad, thinking that we are getting mere lip service from Mr. Glasberg regarding Tony’s final story. Wonder if his saying that he wants to do Tony’s exit justice (after 13 years) is just the usual insincere verbal diarrhea Mr. Glasberg tends to spew regarding Tony. The two DiNozzo replacements are to be featured in the last two episodes of the season. One has to wonder if there’ll be much of any time at all to attend to Tony’s departure what with all the promotion of new characters and the usual dominance of Gibbs screen time. Something tells me Tony’s exit won’t be exciting at all for Tony fans who have been waiting for about 7 seasons to see Tony get to do more than click the clicker, play a supporting role to some other characters big drama, or be the butt of the evening’s running gag.
