ABC’s ‘Castle’ season 8, episode 16 video: Is Lucy coming between Castle, Beckett?
For everyone who’s been wanting some more old-school charm on “Castle,” the sneak peek below is hopefully an example of something we’re going to see over the course of the rest of the season. After all, what is more vintage to this show than seeing Castle and Beckett get interrupted right in the middle of a romantic moment?
As Rick tells us, Kate has finally moved back into the loft completely, and the whole “secret” phase of the LokSat saga seems to be over. They can finally pick up where they left off! Well, with one exception: Kate now has to deal more with Lucy, Rick’s A.I. who he has moved more into the loft so that some more menial tasks are taken care of. Also, we’ve just found out that we like our coffee almost identically to how Rick does. Score?
There’s a part of us who just wants to see Beckett throw Lucy out the window for the sake of entertainment, especially since the A.I. seems to throw a little bit of shade her way when she asks if she knows how to make a coffee for her. (Apparently, Lucy / Rick don’t have Splenda in stock.)
Eventually, Nathan Fillion and Stana Katic’s characters are called away to take part in the latest case for the hour, which is going to revolve in part around a figure from Esposito’s past (Angelina Celaya) who proves to be rather useful in the present. We’ll be back overnight / in the morning with a review of all that transpires.

This is far from old school Castle. Rick used to be smart and charming. This version is childish and ridiculous. He is flirting with a machine and disregarding his wife. Ridiculous. These two used to be in an adult relationship, romantic and loving. What i see is far from what either character used to be.

What to me is more important is whether Beckett is going to the DA or the DA’s assistant who Caskett believes is tied to LokSat. It seems that he acquired some property for what Caskett believes was LokSat. It seems that Caskett believe that he wants to do the right thing and Caskett may try to get him to turn on LokSat.
Besides Beckett is smart enough and determined enough to reprogram Lucy to do what she says as well as what Castle wants. Also Castle has already admitted that Lucy has quirks and problems that might already endanger how long Lucy stays around. Also, let’s not forget that, symbolically, Castle has cut his ties to computer games to please Beckett.

With regards to Lucy. They were scrapeing the bottom of the juvenile barrel when they came up with that one. I think that even I could have come up with something much better than that.
With regard to the present status of the show and series it getting better if you look at the total episodes in season. One of the things the show runners set out to do this season was to strengthen the Caskett marriage. I believe that they have done this even though it took much too long. They also said that they were going to shake things up. They did much to the fans dissatisfaction. Taken in totality it was a laborious season that needed some fun episodes to relax. Unfortunately, like the current issue with Lucy, they were greatly unsuccessful and juvenile.

What’s infuriating is that W/H have waisted some 12 episodes and the loss of a million desperately needed fans to finally realize what’s been staring them in their face. What a sad commentary on the lack of due diligence.
