Ratings: ‘Once Upon a Time,’ ‘Quantico’ improve versus ACM Awards
We don’t really spend an extreme amount of time discussing the ACM Award ratings here on CarterMatt, largely for the sole reason that it’s not really something that people are typically chomping at the bit to see. With that in mind, let’s just tell you that the awards show drew a 2.2 rating in the 18-49 demographic and then move on quickly from here to some other important highlights on the night.
The good news – There was a recovery from “Once Upon a Time“! After weeks of hemorrhaging viewers, this past episode featuring the return of Zelena drew a 1.1 rating in the 18-49 demographic. It’s still not a rating worth jumping up and down about, but at least the show has already been renewed for a sixth season and ABC is struggling big-time across the board.
Meanwhile, “Quantico” also improved versus its most-recent airing to a 1.0 rating. It’s also renewed already, so there is nothing to be concerned about here. Moving on…
The bad news – Fox did awful last night. Seriously. Burning off “Bordertown” and “Cooper Barrett’s Guide to Surviving Life” in the 7:00 p.m. Eastern spot led to them getting 0.4 ratings, and “The Simpsons” drew only a woeful 1.0 rating in its own right.
Elsewhere, do you remember when “Little Big Shots” was starting to look like a ratings monster for NBC? Well, it generated only a 1.8 rating last night, making us think more that the Steve Harvey show was a little bit of a flash in the pan than something that was a significant force to be reckoned with.
