‘The Voice UK’ results: Are Lydia Lucy, Cody Frost, Vangelis, or Jordan Gray into finale?
Here’s the crazy thing about “The Voice UK” as a series: We’re just starting to get to know some of these singers, and yet we’re facing the cruel reality that we’re going to see it all end in one week’s time.
We entered tonight’s episode with just eight singers, and after tonight’s results, only four moved on to the next round. Those four are as follows.
Kevin Simm – There’s really no surprise at all here, given that he has a certain element of pre-show fame already thanks to Liberty X.
Lydia Lucy – Basically, we have to say the same exact thing about her, since she was on “The X Factor” before this. Yet, like Kevin, she is deserving of the honor from a talent level.
Cody Frost – She has been labeled by much of the press as a potential favorite, and we feel like it definitely helps her chances that she is so unique.
Jolan – Basically, Paloma Faith went through this entire season only to find herself without an artist in the final. Jolan, coming off of the strength of his “Purple Rain” performance, made it in over Heather Cameron-Hayes, Jordan Gray, Lyrickal, or Vangelis. We’re not too surprised in the end.
The one thing we feel for here with Paloma is that we wonder if things could have ended a little bit differently for her if she still had in the competition Beth Morris, who we felt was probably her strongest performer coming into the live shows, especially when you go back and look at the blind audition.
