‘Survivor: Kaoh Rong’ episode 8 video: Is a women’s alliance starting to form?
Obviously, we begin this “Survivor” promo analysis with the typical disclaimer: These have a tendency to be at times misleading, so just enter it with that knowledge. (CBS doesn’t actually want to give anything away, now do they?)
The biggest focus in this promo is on the possible formation of a women’s alliance, once that could lead to Cydney potentially drifting from the Brawn tribe and going with the likes of Aubry or Michele. Aubry in particular is probably going to feel the need to move quickly. With Neal’s exit, she doesn’t have a clear #2 ally anymore. Maybe you could consider Joe that at the moment, but we’re not really sensing too much about him that makes us think that he is going to orchestrate strategic blindsides.
So why would Cydney want to move away from her former group, especially when she knows that Jason has an immunity idol? It’s possible that he does something personally that bothers her (we’ve already seen in the post-episode preview that they have a spat), or she thinks that she won’t be able to make a strong case down the road against him. She does know about his immunity idol, which does make it interesting if she chooses to pass that knowledge along to other people.
It would make sense for someone to attempt a big blindside on Jason on this upcoming episode; however, the danger of course here is that there is that super-idol looming, and if Tai thinks that keeping Jason around helps him, we certainly could see him handing his idol over to keep him.
