‘Quantico’ episode 16 spoilers: Is there a reason to doubt Simon?

Thanks to the wait in which “Quantico” has been set up as a series, we do not think anyone would blame you if you had some trust issues regarding almost any member of the cast. After all, there have been traitors aplenty, and Alex Parrish has especially been targeted more times than we can even count.

With that in mind, even just one look from Simon at the end of this past episode was enough to cause some people out there to suspect that he is up to something nefarious, even if executive producer Josh Safran insists that this is not something that is legitimately happening. Speaking in a new interview with Entertainment Weekly, here is what he had to say about the relationship between this character and our leading lady:

“I really believe that Simon and Alex’s connection is such that they’re probably the most truthful to each other out of anybody … So even if there ever was a danger of Simon having a screw loose or feeling on the edge of something, he would talk to Alex about it.”

So does this rule out Simon as a significant threat to be the terrorist? Unless Safran is really trying to throw us off, we would say not to put a whole lot of stock into conspiracy theories about this character. As for almost everyone else in the cast right now, it may be easier to label a whole lot of them to be fair game.
