‘Girl Meets World’ season 3 spoilers: ‘Family Matters’ star gets guest role

Girl Meets World -

We have not had a whole lot to say as of late when it comes to “Girl Meets World” season 3 casting news, and with that in mind, we’re certainly pleased to be bringing you the following!

According to a report from E! Online, Reginald VelJohnson of “Family Matters” fame is going to be appearing in at least one episode of the Disney Channel series, and he will be playing (you guessed it) a cop. While he’s not playing the same character as before, this is obviously a sign that VelJohnson is in on the nostalgia that is present at the very heart of this series. Most of “Girl Meets World” is TV comfort food, and there is something comforting about seeing this particular actor in uniform.

New episodes of “Girl Meets World” are currently filming, and while there’s no premiere date as of yet, we do expect it to launch at some point in the late spring or early summer. The story will continue to revolve around Riley (Rowan Blanchard) and her best friend Maya (Sabrina Carpenter) as they head to high school and try to adapt to all of the different changes that are present in their lives there … coupled with the feelings that were left over from their time in middle school.

The show’s clearly going in the right direction appealing to “TGIF” fans with this casting news; hopefully, we’ll have some more coming up in the future as soon as it is announced.
