‘Better Call Saul’ season 2: Aaron Paul has talked potential Jesse cameo

Better Call Saul season 2So long as “Better Call Saul” is out there and Aaron Paul is out there doing press, you have to think that the questions are going to come up regarding whether or not he will be on the show. We do certainly understand the reason for the interest. After all, we’re talking about Jesse Pinkman, one of the best characters to have graced TV over the course of the past several years. Why wouldn’t you want to see that character?

Granted, the problem here with throwing Jesse out there is you want to save it for the right moment. If you unleash him too early, then it just feels like you’re exploiting “Breaking Bad,” and it has to feel organic to the point where it won’t mess with the timeline. This is something that Paul, who is currently promoting “The Path” for Hulu, described in a chat with Entertainment Weekly Radio:

“Yeah, we’ve talked about it … They kind of threw some ideas at me. Like, ‘What if? What do you think about this?’ So the conversations are definitely there, but it has to make sense for the show. They’re not just going to throw Jesse in the mix just so the fans can say, ‘Oh, look, it’s Jesse walking in the background.’ It needs to make sense to the show.”

Paul also addresses what is one of the clear problems with getting Jesse on “Saul”: He’s probably extremely young, as in early high school / middle school. How do you associate him with everything else happening?
