‘The Originals’ season 3 spoilers: Show boss on potential Cami – Aurora showdown

Revenge is a powerful thing, and if there is one person on “The Originals” who is probably looking for it more than anyone else, it’s Cami. Just consider for a minute or two here what she has been through when it comes to Aurora already, her transformation into a vampire, and her subsequent attempt to figure out her new life. This would not be an easy transition for anyone, but when you consider that one of the people she is closest to in life is Klaus, that makes things even harder. We certainly wouldn’t call him a perfect teaser.

A showdown between Leah Pipes’ character and Aurora is inevitable, and speaking to TVLine on the subject, executive producer Michael Narducci makes it clear just what sort of chaos could be coming:

““How will Cami possibly survive that? She’s going to have to take it to the next level as a vampire, a potentially dangerous place, rather than just being someone who’s trying to survive. She has the legacy of the O’Connells, and she has all these dark objects that her ancestors have collected, and now she’s going to make use of them.”

Ultimately, we think that this is going to be a heck of a lot of fun for us to watch, even if it may be extremely challenging and/or harrowing for this character to tackle. If the show really wanted to shock us, they could do so by killing Cami off given the whole fake-out at the end of the first part of the season … not that this is the sort of shock that’d make us happy. (It’s more likely to have us pounding our head against the nearest wall.)
