‘Shark Tank’ revisited: Extreme Sandbox, Fire Avert, Total Tie Keep, ABS Protein Pancakes

Shark Tank -Tonight, “Shark Tank” is re-airing an episode that first came on earlier this year, and there are a few different products that got investments. How are they doing now? Typically these Revisited articles are a little more in-depth once some more time passes and we can start to sense some real progress, but we figure that this particular update will at least give you more of a sense as to the groundwork that is being laid.

ABS Protein Pancakes – Last time we saw them in the Tank Daymond John worked to get a deal that would give him a good percentage in the company, and get the business a little bit more revenue and attention. Since the show we’ve certainly seen that they are active, and are trying to work on reducing the price, which was one of the biggest concerns we had with their product when they were first on the show. We don’t doubt that it’s a nice alternative for bodybuilders / people with high-protein diets, but you gotta have a good paycheck for it to be worth your while.

Extreme Sandbox – Since the show they are still working on setting up their second location in Texas, but we do see that there continues to be an active consumer base out there for this experience of operating heavy machinery. If there is one concern that we have for now, it is that once you have the experience, what else is there to do with the company? It’s the sort of thing that you can really only do once and have the same experience.

Total Tie Keep – The product itself is something incredibly simple, but we do still think it’s a winner: Everyone out there wants to have a good look when sporting a tie, and this helps to facilitate that. The only real issue in the Tank was that the company owner had a day job working as a federal agent, and we don’t see any real change when it comes to the amount of time allotted to the company. Still, we think that the brand should get a nice little bump when the repeat airs tomorrow.

Fire Avert – First things first, super-smart move doing a special over the next 24 hours where it is being sold at a lower price point. Lori Greiner went in with a potential investment when the episode aired, and we see some changes already. Maybe we’re just envisioning things almost in a post-investment halo, but their site feels even slicker and we’re getting a good sense of how much they are taking to the local community to get the word out about the product.
